1. Introduction

Welcome to MassMailer for Gmail & Sheets ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension ("Extension") handles your information.

Our Extension operates exclusively within your browser. We do not own, operate, or maintain any backend servers that collect or process your personal data.

2. How We Handle Your Data

Because our Extension operates entirely locally on your device:

• We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your personal information, email addresses, or spreadsheet data to third-party servers.
• All data processing required to merge documents and send emails occurs directly within your local Chrome browser environment.
• Your preferences and templates are saved locally on your device using Chrome's local storage (`chrome.storage.local`).

3. Google API Services Usage & Limited Use Policy

MassMailer for Gmail & Sheets integrates seamlessly with Google Workspace applications. The Extension's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What data do we access?

• Gmail API: We request permissions to compose and send emails on your behalf. We do not read your inbox, delete your emails, or monitor your private communications.
• Google Sheets API: We request read-only access specifically to fetch the data from the spreadsheet you actively provide, so that we can personalize your bulk emails.

How do we use this data?

The data fetched from your Google Sheets is strictly used to replace `{{Tokens}}` in your email draft and dispatch it via your Gmail account. Once the emails are sent, the temporarily processed data is purged from the Extension's active memory.

We will never sell or share your Google user data with any third party under any circumstances.

4. Permissions Required

• activeTab: Allows the Extension to automatically detect the currently active spreadsheet URL to save you from manual configuration.
• identity: Required to securely trigger the Google Sign-in flow and authenticate you with OAuth2 without ever exposing your password to us.
• storage: Used solely to save your local UI preferences and drafted templates on your personal computer.

5. User Consent & Control

You have full control over your data. You can revoke the Extension's access to your Google Account at any time by visiting the Google Account Permissions page.

Uninstalling the Extension will completely remove all your locally saved templates and preferences from your browser.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted here on our GitHub Pages site.
